Tampa Terminators is a preventative program and looks to terminate illiteracy, ignorance and incarceration within the Tampa, Hillsborough area through character building and focusing on five pillars of character, (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship). These characteristics are important in the game of baseball and in life. Tampa Terminators introduces mentoring through the game of baseball: We provide mentorship to the youth in low-income to moderate neighborhoods and teach them how to succeed and become an essential figure in the community.
The goal is to achieve consistent, active participation by the program’s players and families in our events. The program expects a bond to develop within the group among participants and leaders. Another goal, which is at the heart of our vision for the program, is improved academic achievement in participants.

Coach Anderson was born in Ohio and raised in Tampa. His humble beginnings started at St. Peter Claver Elementary school. Then, he attended middle school at Middleton. Under Coach Reed’s direction, Coach Anderson fine-tuned his baseball etiquette. As a result, Coach Anderson was drafted by the Oakland A’s in 1989. From there, he served our country as one of the Few….The Proud…The Marines. The Marine Corp fine-tuned Coach Anderson’s integrity, perseverance, and tenacity. While in the Marine Corp, he earned an Associate’s degree in Sociology. He finished his education, by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at USF. Currently, he is a licensed barber. Lastly….and most importantly….Coach Anderson is an ordained minister. He founded Overflow Outreach Ministries where Faith, Fitness, and Focus are at the forefront of his empowerment to help others discover their purpose and make a difference.
Today, Coach Anderson is the proud coach of the Tampa Terminators. His mission for The Tampa Terminators is to teach “From the Neck Up” which prepares athletes for success on and off the field….a prerequisite to prosperity. By fostering and promoting the termination of illiteracy, ignorance, and incarceration, his goal is to empower each child: spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Coach Anderson also works with the Leto High School baseball team where he lends his experiences to the players. Finally, Coach Anderson is a part of the USA Baseball Association where he is furthering his education which will enhance his ability as a coach to better serve each player, the team, and the community.
Ms. Ann Sullivan was a dedicated and passionate Little League coach in the 1970s, known for her hands-on approach and her deep commitment to mentoring young players. She was a trailblazer in youth sports. Her dedication and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on her players, many of whom were inspired to continue in the sport. One of her former students, Coach Anderson, went on to become a respected coach for the Tampa Terminators, carrying forward her values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
